Timeless Thursday: Susan Sarandon

In life I find that some people make difficult things seem easy.

Susan Abigail Tomalin is one of those persons.

She acheives much and make it appear rather effortless.

She's an actress, mom and political activist for liberal causes.

She has won an Academy, BAFTA and SAG Awards for Best Actress for her role in Dead Man Walking (1995). In all she has won 38 Awards of one kind or another and have had 23 other nominations.

She's had a full life and accomplished life thus far. This is all reflected on her face. She has been there; done that and it's all ok. It was a part of the journey. A journey, mind you, that is not over.

She shows no signs of slowing down. She is open-minded; a state you do not acheive without having a high level of intelligence and experience. To be open-minded is to have lived and accepted life's lessons.

When I look at Susan I see wisdom, I see grace, I see someone who is truly comfortable in the skin she's in.

She's opinionated and out-spoken and those are traits that I admire. It's an absolute delight to watch her on and off screen.

She has been in the business since 1970. She has four movies in the works three of which are set for release this year and one 13 March 2009.

The Colussus (in production) aka The Diamond Nightingale is currently in post production. She will star alongside Rachel Weisz. The filmed is categorized as a biography/drama/romance/ thriller.
Internet Movie Database describes the plot synopsis this way: An ornithologist at the turn of the 20th century transports hundreds of songbirds to an ailing prime minister in South Africa and falls for a political activist trying to stop the impending Boer War.

The Lovely Bones (in post production) is set to be released on 13 Mar 09 in the US aand is categorized as a horror/thriller. Rachel Weisz & Saoirse play major roles in the movie. It's based on the best selling book by Alice Sebold.
The Lovely Bones is the story of a 14-year-old girl from suburban Pennsylvania who is murdered by her neighbor. She tells the story from Heaven, showing the lives of the people around her and how they have changed all while attempting to get someone to find her lost body.

Speed Racer - Based on the classic 1960's Japanese animated series chronicling the aspirations of a young race car driver as he attempts to obtain glory, with the help of his family and the Mach 5, the advanced car created by his father.
Susan plays mom racer and Christina Ricci also stars in this film which is categorized as action/comedy/sport and is in post production as well.
